The idea behind the pillow is pretty simple - a low-cost alternative to installing an expensive rainwater storage tank. The product is essentially an industrial grade "bag" available in most any size (customized from 1,000 to 40,000 gallons) that holds rainwater. The most practical use for this product is as a retrofit item fro homes in regions where drought is a growing concern. It comes as a self-contained kit that includes a 25W pump, so there's no need to elevate the container to make captured water flow. How long will it last? "They used these things in Vietnam for decades" notes company owner Jim Harrington. "Every inch has a breaking strength of 550 lbs. per inch"
